To be completely honest,
after years of experimenting and baking,
I haven’t figured out the best recipe for banana bread.
I often forget the most important ingredients, and other times just pray that no one else can taste the bland, flour-y consistency that I vowed to never replicate again..
(Even chocolate chips can’t help you there.)
What gives me more joy than perfecting the recipe, though, is breaking the bread with others. It seems so simple: mix ingredients, put it in oven, out comes bread.
But that delight you see in people sharing it together? Unparalleled.
Bread fulfills hunger—physical, spiritual, relational.
